Role and Responsibilities

Mind Right is a provider of psychological treatment services to the personal injury and absence management markets.

The role of Psychotherapist is an exciting opportunity to experience new clinical challenges whilst working autonomously.

You will carry a caseload of individuals for whom you will deliver appropriate psychotherapeutic intervention. In addition you with have input into the clinical governance underpinning the business, be an escalation point for clinical queries and support the development of new clinical services and pathways.

The intention is that the appointed therapist will deliver the majority of their treatment remotely, however an open attitude to treating in-person would be desirable.

Key Accountabilities

As a Psychotherapist, you'll need to:

  • Assess clients' needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of their behaviour.
  • Devise, monitor and adapt appropriate treatment programmes, including therapy, counselling, or advice, in collaboration with referrers.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside case managers, doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals, health visitors, psychiatrists and occupational therapists when required.
  • Offer therapy and treatments for issues relating to a range of mental health conditions.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years Post Grad experience
  • A relevant clinical background
  • Experienced in reviewing and managing the quality of clinical work and reporting
  • Experience of working with clients following traumatic injury
  • Experience in delivering Trauma Focused CBT essential
  • Experience working with clients engaged in the personal injury claim process desired (training will be provided)
  • Experience supporting clients back to work desired (training will be provided)
  • Understanding of the motivations of key stakeholders in the personal injury claim process desired (training will be provided)

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Appropriate clinical background and additional training in CBT, EMDR or both. Registration with appropriate regulatory bodies such as the HCPC, NMC, BABCP (dependent on clinical background)
